Your Acne Treatment Starts From Within!

During my upcoming event, All About Acne on Saturday, June 26th at 4:00 pm MST, I’ll be working with participants to explore the role that diet, stress levels, hormones, and external factors play in the development of acne. By the end of this event, participants should feel better equipped to create a treatment plan, and more confident about mending their relationship with acne.

Your Skin Is Not The Enemy
According to the advertisements we see for skincare products, and society in general, we’re in a battle against acne—It’s the enemy, and we should be on a journey to defeat it.
But this shouldn’t be the way we think about our skin!
My goal for All About Acne is to help participants redefine their relationship with their acne, make a mental shift away from aggression, and toward treatment and care. In other words, I want people to be nicer to themselves and their skin. This means being nicer to your body, tapping into awareness for what you need, and making adjustments accordingly, which is what functional medicine is all about!
Here’s the theory behind making this shift in thinking—by adjusting your mental space, your acne won’t cause you as much stress. You won’t launch into panic mode, trying dozens of different serums, cleansers, and masks every time you have a breakout. Instead, you’ll be part of an ongoing treatment plan that will help keep your hormones in check, your stress low, and your whole body healthier and happier, skin included.
